All 5.0 Liter supercharged cars are using now the new TVS from Eaton, that one is still a roots type, but is already much better then the older M112 Eatons jaguar used on the 4.2 engines. The TVS comes close now to the Twin-Screws, but when it comes to higher pressures the TS is still the way to go.

The 4.2 V8 has a complete cover held in by four crosshead screws. My XKR has no cover , the X150 XKRs have a cover that goes right over the engine inc Supercharger but I'm not sure how it removes. From your description you may have the pop connectors fitted. These are an outer plastic and have an inner part that pushes in to secure the cover.

I have a 2003 Jaguar S-Type R. Supercharged 3.2L v8. on the "regular" S-type I am able to use a e2226 compatible fuel pump cartridge to rebuilt the pump. I have been unable to locate a replacement cartridge 1. This cartridge has two blade connecters rather than the single plug. 2. The S-type R pump is different than the other S-types (larger) 3
so for hes spent £2800, and were only a third of the way into development. Overall this is probably going to cost £7000+ including dyno time etc. How to remove any bolt from an X-Type. Step 1: Snap the bolt. Step 2: Angle grind the shit out the captive nut. Step 3: Replace with stainless steel and torque to spec.
