Justdon't expect to win because it's so complex that, using a controller, you'll do many things wrong without knowing why you were wrong. I don't have a genuine xbox controller but when I play, it's like this- solo mode I hotlap a circuit and think I am taking turns quite well.

Iam having troubles getting my xbox one controller to work in this game, I have selected controller (xbox 360) in the menus but my controllers doesnt do anything , it wont work the menues or control the car. All of my other steam games work perfectly with this controller but not Assetto Corsa. Ive paid £30 for this game and am not willing to play
Tookme a while to figure out! It's not explained! You have to click the icon. The controller won't do anything until then. Also, if after that still nothing happens, see if your mouse cursor is outside the "2d" render preview window of Assetto Corsa. If it is, click in the window. Only the active application gets the controller's input.
theonline game mode does not work. I have had the game for a long time and the servers always worked, it feels like a year that i m having issues with that, it's funny how i read ppl not being able to play this on their xbox one x's but being able to do so on their og xbox one's. Mine is an og xbox one.
Thesame on a normal xbox controller. Then I think that xbox version takes very slowly the throttle. Even when I deactivated all assists the acceleration feels delayed like a traction control. When I keep in mind that the trigger gives by 50% full throttle some cars accelerate to gentle.

Apparentlysome other games also have problems with Xbox One Controller via Bluetooth, but everything works great if you connect it via Wireless Adapter. Install ReWASD and create virtual X360 controller that Assetto Corsa will be able to recognize.
SlightlyMad was able to implement this in Project Cars. And all other new Games since 5 or 6 Years have XBOX 360 Gamepad Support too.So in my Eyes the Devs here are really incompetent. ;) Default 360 controls in Project Cars are garbage too. Actually, I think they are worse in Project Cars at default than in Assetto Corsa by default.
